The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2023 is one of the most-anticipated competitions for young students passionate about science. It aspires to unite some of the brightest young scientists worldwide to compete, exchange knowledge and skills, and have a passion for science. The 20th edition of IJSO 2023 will be held in Thailand. Faculty of Science Srinakharinwirot University Bangkok, Thailand, will host International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2023 from 1-10 December 2023.
The competition aims to encourage young students to pursue careers in science and technology, recognise talented students in the science field, and promote science education as well as scientific awareness among young students. The Olympiad also fosters international cooperation and understanding among students. The competition is open to students nominated by their respective national science organisations and is 15 years old or younger as of the competition year.
The IJSO 2023 curriculum will encompass Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It will assess students' knowledge and comprehension of fundamental ideas in these subjects as well as their capacity to use these ideas to solve problems.
Given the competitive nature of the IJSO 2023, participants are advised to start their preparations early and focus on building a solid foundation in all core subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). This competition is a chance for students to show their academic talents, learn from their classmates, and get invaluable experience that will aid them in their future academic and professional endeavours.
