JEE (Advanced), formerly known as the Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Admission Examination (IIT-JEE), is the second phase of the well-known JEE engineering entrance test. It is engineering aspirants’ ticket to the most prestigious technical institutes in India, the IITs.
  • Every year the advanced exam is organized by one of the most distinguished 7 IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Guwahati). This year IIT-Guwahati is conducting JEE (Advanced) 2023, the computer-based exam under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) is yet to be announced.
  • It is held once a year, following the completion of multiple sessions of the JEE (Main) exam. This year the examination will be held on 4th June 2023, Sunday.

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility

Before devoting time and effort to exam preparation, aspirants should enlighten themselves with the JEE (Advanced) eligibility criteria. JEE Advanced Application 2023

The JEE Advanced 2023 application will be available from 30 April 2023 (10:00 IST) t0 4 May 2023 (17:00 IST). Candidates in the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (all categories) in the JEE (Main) 2023 B.E./B.Tech. paper will be eligible for the advanced examination. These chosen candidates can apply within the timeframe to take the exam on 4th June 2023.

JEE Advanced Exam 2023 Admit Card

The JEE (Advanced) admit card will be made available for all registered candidates to download from its official website from 29 May 2023 (10:00 IST) to 4 June 2023 (14:30 IST). It should be noted that they can only that the admit card will not be available for download on any other website or delivered by post. The admit card, along with a valid photo ID, will ensure the candidate's entrance to the examination venue.

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2023

The JEE (Advanced) will be conducted in an online Computer-based Test (CBT) mode. The exam consists of 2 Papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) and appearing in both papers is mandatory. Each paper is further divided into 3 parts, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

JEE Advanced Syllabus

A syllabus is essential in any exam, and JEE (Advanced) is no exception. The content for the much-anticipated examination has been announced, and it is critical that candidates familiarise themselves with it as soon as possible in order to begin exam preparation at the earliest.

JEE Advanced Results

IIT-Guwahati, the organizing authority will be the sole authority for releasing the results. However, before the final declaration of JEE (Advanced) results a few but significant steps would follow.
  • A Copy of Candidate Responses who appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be made available for viewing/ downloading/ printing on the JEE (Advanced) 2023 website for them to review.
  • Students can read through their answers and compare them to the Provisional Answer Key (the key is tentative and subject to change), which is expected to be made available on the next day itself.
  • Candidates will have a total of two days to provide feedback and suggestions if any on the candidate portal.
  • The Final Answer Key will be released almost a week later, after considering the candidates’ feedback. The marks will be given based on the final key.
  • The JEE (Advanced) 2023 Results will follow the final answer key.

JEE Advanced Cut-Off

IIT. Candidates who score more than the declared cut-off are automatically considered for counselling at the IITs. The cut-off for the JEE (Advanced) 2023 will be mentioned in the Common Rank List. The cut-off will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks by the IITs.
  • JoSAA will release a Common Rank List of the candidates who pass the qualifying cut-off. Only the candidates who meet the cut-off for all three topics individually as well as in aggregate will qualify for the exam.
  • After the results are announced, category-wise (for General, OBC, SC or ST, and PwD) All India Ranks (AIR) of successful students will be published on the JEE (Advanced) 2023 online portal. Candidates will also get text messages to their registered mobile numbers.
  • Candidates will not receive any individual Ranks.
  • It should be noted that the different colleges and courses may have varying cut-offs.
